Liquid Level and Interface Sensors
FCI’s proprietary thermal dispersion technology
permits highly reliable detection of liquid level in
the harshest aerospace and military applications
with a no moving part element. With reported Mean
Time Between Failure (MTBF) in excess of 100,000
hours, FCI’s Liquid Level Sensors are specified for
the detection of level in hydraulic and gearbox oil,
coolants, potable water applications, fuel and other
fluids. |

The typical liquid
level and interface element is installed with a
flanged or threaded process connection through the
wall of the reservoir or gearbox, and it is equipped
with an electrical connector or flying lead for
interface with the FCI or customer’s electronics. As
an alternative installation, FCI has provided liquid
level and interface elements that may be internally
mounted in the reservoir or sump with a flying
electrical lead passing through a seal in the wall
of the vessel to the remote mounted electronics
outside. FCI’s technical staff can describe existing
designs that meet many requirements, and they can
provide recommendations for modified designs for
application specific requirements. FCI provides
sensors for temperature service to 800° F (427° C)
and pressures to 5000 psig [345 bar(g)].
